7 Summer Must-Have Accessories

Hi, you all!

I hope you’re all doing great! Here I’m sharing with you, my 7 Summer Must-Have Accessories. Accessories are always there to elevate your style and transform your look from pretty to gorgeous.

As you know, I love to wear white, and nothing seems more summery than an LWD, a statement white tee, white jeans or white linen pants. So what’s the key to wear your whites and stand out? The answer is to pair them with killer accessories.

These are my 7 Summer Must-Have Accessories:

1.- Sunglasses: a great pair of sunnies can elevate your entire look to diva levels. Due to the intensity of Miami sun, you all need to wear sunglasses all the time to protect your eyes, so investing in a great pair is more a necessity. These embellished sunnies I’m wearing are certainly full of glamour, don’t you agree? They have a retro vibe with those crystals, but the blue mirrored glasses make them super trendy. These are from Miami-based designer Maryjane Claverol.

2.- Clutches: they are perfect when you want to go from day to night, and the one I’m showing you is from Venezuelan-born fashion and textile designer Sigal Cohen. This clutch is from her collection “Dancing Devils” inspired in a traditional Venezuelan celebration during Corpus Christi festivities. This silk clutch is perfect to add a colorful detail to your summer white look, and it’s only $35.

3.- Brooches: an accessory that is making a comeback. I have bought some, but my favorite is the embellished crab I’m showing you in this photo which is also from Maryjane Claverol. I’m really obsessed with everything she does because all her pieces are unique and original. You can learn more about her in this post I wrote a while ago

4.- Scarves: they are always like an outfit savior. If they’re large, you can use them as a sash belt, a sarong or a turban. If they’re small, you can still use them tied in your neck, your wrist, or as a headband. The one on the left is from another of my favorite Miami-based brands: Artteca. The small one is from Hermès.

5.- Big Statement earrings: I must confess that I’m a big fan of them, especially since I cut my hair. They instantly add tons of style to your whole look. I only have one piece of advice: when wearing statement earrings follow the less is more rule. I just bought these from the net-a-porter sale, and I can’t wait to wear them.

6.- Kimonos: tied or untied are one of the most versatile trendy pieces this summer.  I consider them accessories because I usually use them as something that completes the look. They are perfect for a summer soiree, as a beach cover-up or tied with a sash over pants or a strap dress. I’m currently coveting the Zara kimonos, but I’m looking forward to seeing Sigal Cohen next kimono collection.

7.- Sandals: last but not least! A great pair of embellished sandals is one of the best investments you can make this summer. I’m delighted to see the mule comeback and the ultra comfy embellished beach slides. I bought these melon colored fringed slides from Loeffler Randall and these gorgeous fruit and flower sandals from Charlotte Olympia, taking advantage of the Memorial Day Sales, of course!
